Fumasep Membranes
Fumasep is a family of ion exchange membranes from FUMATECH, used in electrolyzers, fuel cells, flow batteries and electrodialysis. METNMAT sells Fumasep anion exchange membranes such as FAA-3 and FAB, the FS-9100 cation exchange membrane and the FBM bipolar membrane.
Which Fumasep membrane do you need?
- FAA-3
- An anion exchange membrane in thin grades. Thinner means lower resistance, but a weaker film.
- FAB
- A reinforced anion exchange membrane, stronger and easier to handle than a thin film.
- FS-9100
- A cation exchange membrane, which passes positive ions.
- FBM
- A bipolar membrane, with an anion and a cation layer joined together. It splits water into H⁺ and OH⁻ at the junction.
